Privacy

We collect what you submit: name, email, phone, country, account preference, and the text of a message or application. Those records are stored in MySQL on the hosting server via mysqli. We also keep ordinary server logs, including IP address and browser, for security.

We use the information to answer you, to process an application, and — if you join the list — to send the weekly note. We do not sell lists. Staff and the host who administer the database can see the rows as part of their work.

You may ask for a copy of your site submissions, or for deletion of a newsletter row, by writing to desk@ustecindex.com. Identity documents collected later in onboarding are kept under the retention schedule in the client agreement, which can outlast a deletion request where the law requires a record.

The site sets a local preference for light or dark theme in your browser storage. That preference is not sent to the server.
